Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?


For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. There was not left a man of them, save Kalev the son of Yefunneh, and Yehoshua the son of Nun.


Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness. As it is written, 'He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.'*


This is the bread which came down out of heaven--not as our fathers ate the manna, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.*


Now I desire to remind you, though you already know this, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who didn't believe.


He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he who receives it.
