This is Yochanan's testimony, when the Judeans sent priests and Levites from Yerushalayim to ask him, *Who are you?*
*Come, see a man who told me everything that I did. Can this be the Messiah?*
So the Judeans said to him who was cured, *It is the Shabbat. It is not lawful for you to carry the mat.*
Then they asked him, *Who is the man who said to you, 'Take up your mat, and walk'?*
For this cause the Judeans persecuted Yeshua, and sought to kill him, because he did these things on the Shabbat.
For this cause therefore the Judeans sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Shabbat, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
Again therefore the Perushim also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, *He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.*
He therefore answered, *I don't know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.*
The man answered them, *How amazing! You don't know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.
They answered him, *You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?* They threw him out.
