He bought the parcel of ground where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Chamor, Shekhem's father, for one hundred pieces of money.


Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amori with my sword and with my bow.*


For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Beit-El, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Shomron, shall surely happen.


and sent messengers before his face. They went, and entered into a village of the Shomroni, so as to prepare for him.


Are you greater than our father, Ya`akov, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, as did his children, and his livestock?*


From that city many of the Shomroni believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, *He told me everything that I did.*


Ya`akov's well was there. Yeshua therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.


For his talmidim had gone away into the city to buy food.


The bones of Yosef, which the children of Yisra'el brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shekhem, in the parcel of ground which Ya`akov bought of the sons of Chamor the father of Shekhem for a hundred pieces of money: and they became the inheritance of the children of Yosef.
