It happened after these things, that God tested Avraham, and said to him, *Avraham!* He said, *Here I am.*


The angel of the LORD called to him out of the sky, and said, *Avraham, Avraham!* He said, *Here I am.*


Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Binyamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you.


When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, *Moshe! Moshe!* He said, *Here I am.*


The LORD said to Moshe, *I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.*


I had scarcely passed from them, when I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, into the chamber of her who conceived me.


I was asleep, but my heart was awake. It is the voice of my beloved who knocks: *Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled; for my head is filled with dew, and my hair with the dampness of the night.*

Yeshua answered her, *Marta, Marta, you are anxious and troubled about many things,


Yeshua turned, and saw them following, and said to them, *What are you looking for?* They said to him, *Rabbi* (which is to say, being interpreted, Rabbi), *where are you staying?*


Natan'el answered him, *Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are King of Yisra'el!*


The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.


When she had said this, she went away, and called Miriam, her sister, secretly, saying, *The Rabbi is here, and is calling you.*


You call me, 'Rabbi' and 'Lord.' You say so correctly, for so I am.


T'oma answered him, *My Lord and my God!*


The same came to him by night, and said to him, *Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.*


Now in Yerushalayim by the sheep gate, there is a pool, which is called in Hebrew, *Beit-Chesed,* having five porches.


When they found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, *Rabbi, when did you come here?*


At about the ninth hour of the day, he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God coming to him, and saying to him, *Cornelius!*


He fell on the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, *Sha'ul, Sha'ul, why do you persecute me?*


The LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Shemu'el, Shemu'el. Then Shemu'el said, Speak; for your servant hears.


The LORD called yet again, Shemu'el. Shemu'el arose and went to `Eli, and said, Here am I; for you called me. He answered, I didn't call, my son; lie down again.
