After these things the word of the LORD came to Avram in a vision, saying, *Don't be afraid, Avram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.*


Go and tell my servant David, Thus says the LORD, Shall you build me a house for me to dwell in?


This was the word of the LORD which he spoke to Yehu, saying, Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Yisra'el. So it came to pass.


But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars: you shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.


Yehu the son of Chanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Yehoshafat, Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate the LORD? for this thing wrath is on you from before the LORD.


Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.


When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots,
