Now the men of Sedom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against the LORD.


In the fourth generation they will come here again, for the iniquity of the Amori is not yet full.*


The LORD said, *Because the cry of Sedom and `Amorah is great, and because their sin is very grievous,


It will be like when the harvester gathers the wheat, and his arm reaps the grain. Yes, it will be like when one gleans grain in the valley of Refa'im.


I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yes, I trod them in my anger, and trampled them in my wrath; and their lifeblood is sprinkled on my garments, and I have stained all my clothing.


For thus says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el: The daughter of Bavel is like a threshing floor at the time when it is trodden; yet a little while, and the time of harvest shall come for her.


The Lord has set at nothing all my mighty men in the midst of me; He has called a solemn assembly against me to crush my young men: The Lord has trodden as in a winepress the virgin daughter of Yehudah.


*Also, Yehudah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I restore the fortunes of my people.


The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.


But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come.*


Seven weeks shall you number to you: from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain shall you begin to number seven weeks.
