Yes, you would even cast lots for the fatherless, and make merchandise of your friend.


Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moshe, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn't destroy them.


The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me. I will consider your statutes.


They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.


For without cause they have hidden their net in a pit for me. Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul.


They who also render evil for good are adversaries to me, because I follow what is good.


They have prepared a net for my steps. My soul is bowed down. They dig a pit before me. They fall into the midst of it themselves. Selah.


He has dug a hole, and has fallen into the pit which he made.


Whoever rewards evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.


Whoever digs a pit shall fall into it. Whoever rolls a stone, it will come back on him.


He who digs a pit may fall into it; and whoever breaks through a wall may be bitten by a snake.


Therefore don't you pray for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me because of their trouble.

Give heed to me, LORD, and listen to the voice of those who contend with me.


Let a cry be heard from their houses, when you shall bring a troop suddenly on them; for they have dug a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.


But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Yehudah, and at Yerushalayim, don't go to Bavel.
