Then came all the tribes of Yisra'el to David to Chevron, and spoke, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up against the Pelishtim? will you deliver them into my hand? the LORD said to David, Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Pelishtim into your hand.
It shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall bestir yourself; for then is the LORD gone out before you to strike the army of the Pelishtim.
For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like the army of God.
Happy is he who has the God of Ya`akov for his help, whose hope is in the LORD, his God:
Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted.
Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, neither will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows; for everyone is profane and an evil-doer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Yehudah, Kalev the son of Yefunneh.
But bring those enemies of mine who didn't want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.'*
For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Yehudah, about which tribe Moshe spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Yehudah according to their families.
