Deuteronomy 14:3

You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female.


who sit among the graves, and lodge in the secret places; who eat pig's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;


Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.


*Speak to the children of Yisra'el, saying, 'These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.


You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled thereby.


*'You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean: and you shall not make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean for you.


I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Yeshua, that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.


But if anyone says to you, *This was offered to idols,* don't eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For *the earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness.*


To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
