Avram passed through the land to the place of Shekhem, to the oak of Moreh. The Kena`ani was then in the land.


also from Beit-Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geva and `Azmavet: for the singers had built them villages round about Yerushalayim.


The people came up out of the Yarden on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Yericho.


The LORD said to Yehoshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Therefore the name of that place was called Gilgal, to this day.


Then Yerubba`al, who is Gid`on, and all the people who were with him, rose up early, and encamped beside the spring of Charod: and the camp of Midyan was on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.


When they told it to Yotam, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said to them, Listen to me, you men of Shekhem, that God may listen to you.
