The LORD said to Moshe and Aharon, Because you didn't believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Yisra'el, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.

The LORD said to Moshe, Take Yehoshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;
Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes: for you shall not go over this Yarden.
But charge Yehoshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.
He said to them, I am one hundred twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: and the LORD has said to me, You shall not go over this Yarden.
For you shall see the land before you; but you shall not go there into the land which I give the children of Yisra'el.
The LORD said to him, This is the land which I swore to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov, saying, I will give it to your seed: I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.
Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over the Yarden, and that I should not go in to that good land, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance:
but I must die in this land, I must not go over the Yarden; but you shall go over, and possess that good land.
