Chiram sent in the navy his servants, sailors who had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Shlomo.


So the shipmaster came to him, and said to him, *What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God! Maybe your God will notice us, so that we won't perish.*


But we must run aground on a certain island.*


They took soundings, and found twenty fathoms. After a little while, they took soundings again, and found fifteen fathoms..


As the sailors were trying to flee out of the ship, and had lowered the boat into the sea, pretending that they would lay out anchors from the bow,


For in an hour such great riches are made desolate.' Every shipmaster, and everyone who sails anywhere, and mariners, and as many as gain their living by sea, stood far away,
