The king said to Avshalom, No, my son, let us not all go, lest we be burdensome to you. He pressed him: however he would not go, but blessed him.


David said to him, If you pass on with me, then you will be a burden to me:


Your servant would but just go over the Yarden with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?
