He made houses of high places, and made Kohanim from among all the people, who were not of the sons of Levi.


He cried against the altar by the word of the LORD, and said, altar, altar, thus says the LORD: Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Yoshiyahu by name; and on you shall he sacrifice the Kohanim of the high places who burn incense on you, and men's bones shall they burn on you.


Therefore they spoke to the king of Ashur, saying, The nations which you have carried away, and placed in the cities of Shomron, don't know the law of the god of the land: therefore he has sent lions among them, and behold, they kill them, because they don't know the law of the god of the land.


So one of the Kohanim whom they had carried away from Shomron came and lived in Beit-El, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.


and he appointed him Kohanim for the high places, and for the male goats, and for the calves which he had made.


You, Ezra, after the wisdom of your God who is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges, who may judge all the people who are beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your God; and teach you him who doesn't know them.


Then said Mikhah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my Kohen.
