and they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense: the show bread also [set they] in order on the pure table; and the menorah of gold with the lamps of it, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but you have forsaken him.


When they had made an end, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Yehoiada, of which were made vessels for the house of the LORD, even vessels with which to minister and to offer, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. They offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Yehoiada.


Shlomo made all the vessels that were in the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables with the show bread on them;


even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the mitzvah of Moshe, on the Shabbatot, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times in the year, [even] in the feast of matzah, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths.


In the first year of Koresh the king, Koresh the king made a decree: Concerning the house of God at Yerushalayim, let the house be built, the place where they offer sacrifices, and let the foundations of it be strongly laid; the height of it sixty cubits, and the breadth of it sixty cubits;


We cast lots, the Kohanim, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at times appointed, year by year, to burn on the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the Torah;
