He has come to `Ayat. He has passed through Migron. At Mikhmash he stores his baggage.


They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geva. Ramah trembles. Gevah of Sha'ul has fled.


Shemu'el said, What have you done? Sha'ul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you didn't come within the days appointed, and that the Pelishtim assembled themselves together at Mikhmash;


Sha'ul chose him three thousand men of Yisra'el, of which two thousand were with Sha'ul in Mikhmash and in the Mount of Beit-El, and one thousand were with Yonatan in Gevah of Binyamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.


The garrison of the Pelishtim went out to the pass of Mikhmash.


Yonatan struck the garrison of the Pelishtim that was in Geva: and the Pelishtim heard of it. Sha'ul blew the shofar throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.


They struck of the Pelishtim that day from Mikhmash to Ayalon. The people were very faint;


Between the passes, by which Yonatan sought to go over to the Pelishtim' garrison, there was a rocky crag on the one side, and a rocky crag on the other side: and the name of the one was Botzetz, and the name of the other Senneh.


Yonatan said to the young man who bore his armor, Come, and let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us; for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.
