However I will not tear away all the kingdom; but I will give one tribe to your son, for David my servant's sake, and for Yerushalayim's sake which I have chosen.


For he tore Yisra'el from the house of David; and they made Yarov`am the son of Nevat king: and Yarov`am drove Yisra'el from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin.


So Yisra'el rebelled against the house of David to this day.


Aviyah and his people killed them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Yisra'el five hundred thousand chosen men.


The LORD will bring on you, on your people, and on your father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Efrayim departed from Yehudah; even the king of Ashur.
