It happened, when he had come near to enter Egypt, that he said to Sarai his wife, *See now, I know that you are a beautiful woman to look at.


So they sought for a beautiful young lady throughout all the borders of Yisra'el, and found Avishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king.


Then Adoniyahu the son of Chaggit exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.


He said, *Please speak to Shlomo the king (for he will not tell you 'no'), that he give me Avishag the Shunammite as wife.*


She said, Let Avishag the Shunammite be given to Adoniyahu your brother as wife.


and didn't know her sexually until she had brought forth her firstborn son. He named him Yeshua.
