Come, let's go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.*


They didn't know that Yosef understood them; for there was an interpreter between them.


Then said Elyakim the son of Chilkiyah, and Shevna, and Yo'ach, to Ravshakeh, Please speak to your servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and don't speak with us in the Jews' language, in the ears of the people who are on the wall.


I will open my mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old,


He answered them, *To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.


These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;


He said to them, *To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,


For they heard them speaking in other languages and magnifying God. Then Kefa answered,


When Sha'ul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke with other languages and prophesied.


*Those who were with me indeed saw the light and were afraid, but they didn't understand the voice of him who spoke to me.


(14:24) Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Yeshua the Messiah, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,


and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages.


God has set some in the assembly: first emissaries, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages.


If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.


If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing.


Otherwise if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the *Amein* at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn't know what you say?


What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.


Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,


But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.


But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory,


on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,


The LORD will bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies; a nation whose language you shall not understand;


that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Messiah,


Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.

but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as he declared to his servants, the prophets.
