These were heads of fathers' [houses] throughout their generations, chief men: these lived in Yerushalayim.


`Utai the son of `Ammihud, the son of `Omri 1, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Peretz the son of Yehudah.


After them, out of all the tribes of Yisra'el, such as set their hearts to seek the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, came to Yerushalayim to sacrifice to the LORD, the God of their fathers.


Nevertheless certain men of Asher and Menasheh and of Zevulun humbled themselves, and came to Yerushalayim.


The princes of the people lived in Yerushalayim: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Yerushalayim the holy city, and nine parts in the [other] cities.
