When To`i king of Chamat heard that David had struck all the army of Hadad`ezer,
he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadad`ezer and struck him; (for Hadad`ezer had wars with To`u;) and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
From Tivchat and from Cun, cities of Hadad`ezer, David took very much brass, with which Shlomo made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
When the children of `Ammon saw that they had made themselves odious to David, Chanun and the children of `Ammon sent one thousand talents of silver to hire them chariots and horsemen out of Aram-Naharayim, and out of Arammaacah, and out of Tzovah.
