Don't tell it in Gat. Don't publish it in the streets of Ashkelon, lest the daughters of the Pelishtim rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.


and now it has pleased you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you: for you, LORD, have blessed, and it is blessed forever.


He struck Mo'av; and the Mo`avim became servants to David, and brought tribute.


It was told Sha'ul that David was fled to Gat: and he sought no more again for him.

The cities which the Pelishtim had taken from Yisra'el were restored to Yisra'el, from `Ekron even to Gat; and the border of it did Yisra'el deliver out of the hand of the Pelishtim. There was shalom between Yisra'el and the Amori.
