Down to the time of King David the descendants of Simeon lived in the following towns: Beersheba, Moladah, Hazarshual,


The cities farthest south that belonged to them, those that were near the border of Edom, were Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,


Zela, Haeleph, Jebus (or Jerusalem), Gibeah, and Kiriath Jearim: fourteen cities, along with the towns around them. This is the land which the families of the tribe of Benjamin received as their possession.


It included Beersheba, Sheba, Moladah,


Since Judah's assignment was larger than was needed, part of its territory was given to the tribe of Simeon.
