And while Absalom was offering the sacrifices, he sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, from his city Giloh. And the conspiracy grew strong, and the people with Absalom kept increasing.


Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.


Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.


Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.


Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High,


then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar.


Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

They shall call peoples to their mountain; there they offer right sacrifices; for they draw from the abundance of the seas and the hidden treasures of the sand.”


Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.
