Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.


Judas, who would betray him, answered, “Is it I, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You have said so.”


While he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the people.


Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he changed his mind and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders,


But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said,


During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him,


Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.


So, after receiving the morsel of bread, he immediately went out. And it was night.


Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples.


“Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.


(Now this man acquired a field with the reward of his wickedness, and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out.
