As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men,
So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what this rising from the dead might mean.
But they understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not grasp what was said.
His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him.
So the crowd answered him, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
So the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?”
