O Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you!
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.”
Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.”
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.
Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
And Jesus stopped and commanded him to be brought to him. And when he came near, he asked him,
And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.”
While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler’s house came and said, “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more.”
Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me.
