“If any one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn among them eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.


For every person who eats of the fat of an animal of which a food offering may be made to the Lord shall be cut off from his people.


Moreover, you shall eat no blood whatever, whether of fowl or of animal, in any of your dwelling places.


The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,


How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?


Then they told Saul, “Behold, the people are sinning against the Lord by eating with the blood.” And he said, “You have dealt treacherously; roll a great stone to me here.”
