And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world,when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”
If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
This was to fulfill the word that Jesus had spoken to show by what kind of death he was going to die.

Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!”
as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.
since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.
