And he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau’s hands. So he blessed him.


Then he said, “Bring it near to me, that I may eat of my son’s game and bless you.” So he brought it near to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank.


And the king said to her, “What is your trouble?” She answered, “Alas, I am a widow; my husband is dead.


And he said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house that he may eat bread and drink water.’” But he lied to him.


For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.


Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.


Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.


Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me,


These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;


Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.


Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices


So he changed his behavior before them and pretended to be insane in their hands and made marks on the doors of the gate and let his spittle run down his beard.
