And he divided his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and defeated them and pursued them to Hobah, north of Damascus.


And they struck with blindness the men who were at the entrance of the house, both small and great, so that they wore themselves out groping for the door.


Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?


And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand.


And since I could not see because of the brightness of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me, and came into Damascus.


And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized;


And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.


At Damascus, the governor under King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus in order to seize me,


nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
