But God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream by night and said to him, “Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.”


It is in my power to do you harm. But the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, ‘Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.’


When King David heard of all these things, he was very angry.


The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.


Argue your case with your neighbor himself, and do not reveal another’s secret,


Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart;


though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.


Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools.


“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.


Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,


Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.


But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.


Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.


By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.


We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous.


Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
