Then Jehoiada chose the priests to be responsible for the Lord’s temple. {\cf2\super [267]} Those priests were Levites, and David had given them the job of being responsible for the Lord’s temple. Those priests were to offer the burnt offerings {\cf2\super [268]} to the Lord the way the Law of Moses commanded. Hezekiah gave some of his own animals to be offered as the burnt offerings. These animals were used for the daily burnt offerings that were given each morning and each evening. You must offer a burnt offering. It will be an offering made by fire. Its smell will please the Lord. You must offer 2 bulls, 1 ram, and 7 lambs that are one year old. There must be nothing wrong with them.
