The people traveled from Bamoth to the Valley of Moab. In this place the top of the Pisgah Mountain looks over the desert.


Then Balak said to Balaam, “So come with me to another place. Maybe God will be pleased and will allow you to curse them from that place.”


Balaam said, “Build seven altars [298] here. Then prepare seven bulls and seven rams for the altars.”


Balaam saw that the Lord wanted to bless Israel. So Balaam did not try to change that by using any kind of magic. But Balaam turned and looked toward the desert.
