Grind some of the incense until it becomes a fine powder. Put the powder in front of the Agreement [315] in the Meeting Tent. [316] This is the place where I meet with you. You must use this incense powder only for its very special purpose.


Put the altar in front of the special curtain. The Box of the Agreement [292] is behind that curtain. The altar will be in front of the cover [293] that is above the Agreement. [294] This is the place where I will meet with you.


Then the Lord said to Moses, “Put Aaron’s walking stick {back into the Tent} in front of the Agreement. [228] This will be a warning for these people who are always turning against me. This will stop their complaining against me, so that I won’t destroy them.”


On the stick from Levi, write Aaron’s name. There must be one stick for the head of each of the twelve family groups.
