One of the followers standing near Jesus grabbed his sword and pulled it out. This follower hit the servant of the high priest {\cf2\super [211]} with the sword and cut off his ear.


The followers of Jesus were standing there too. They saw what was happening. The followers said to Jesus, “Lord, should we use our swords?”


Jesus said, “Stop!” Then Jesus touched the servant’s ear and healed him.


My friends, don’t try to punish people when they do wrong to you. Wait for God to punish them with his anger. It is written: “I am the One who punishes; I will pay people back,” {\cf2\super [132]} says the Lord.


We fight with weapons that are different from the weapons the world uses. Our weapons have power from God. These weapons can destroy \{the enemy’s\} strong places. We destroy \{people’s\} arguments.
