Save me, O Lord, for there is now no saint: truths are decayed from among the children of men.


The wicked are alienated from the womb; they have gone astray from the womb: they have spoken false things.


They shall return at evening, and shall suffer hunger like dogs: and shall go round about the city.


There is that promiseth, and is pricked as it were with a sword of conscience: but the tongue of the wise is health.


A generation, that for teeth hath swords, and grindeth with their jaw teeth, to devour the needy from off the earth, and the poor from among men.


No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper: and every tongue that resisteth thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord and their justice with me, saith the Lord.


And they have bent their tongue, as a bow, for lies and not for truth: they have strengthened themselves upon the earth: for they have proceeded from evil to evil, and me they have not known, saith the Lord.
