And I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and will kill every firstborn in the land of Egypt both man and beast: and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments. I am the Lord.


Now I know that the Lord is great above all gods: because they dealt proudly against them.


THE burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord will ascend upon a swift cloud and will enter into Egypt. And the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst thereof.


The Lord shall be terrible upon them, and shall consume all the gods of the earth: and they shall adore him every man from his own place, all the islands of the Gentiles.


For every firstborn is mine. Since I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I have sanctified to myself whatsoever is firstborn in Israel both of man and beast. They are mine. I am the Lord.
