Command the Levites, and declare unto them: When you shall receive of the children of Israel the tithes, which I have given you, offer the first-fruits of them to the Lord, that is to say, the tenth part of the tenth.
And of all the things of which you receive tithes, offer the first-fruits to the Lord, and give them to Aaron the priest.
And thou shalt separate a portion to the Lord from them that fought and were in the battle: one soul of five hundred as well of persons as of oxen and asses and sheep.
Out of the moiety also of the children of Israel thou shalt take the fiftieth head of persons, and of oxen, and asses, and sheep, and of all beasts: and thou shalt give them to the Levites that watch in the charge of the tabernacle of the Lord.
There shall you feast before the Lord your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your men-servants and maid-servants, and the Levite that dwelleth in your cities. For he hath no other part and possession among you.
Take heed thou forsake not the Levite all the time that thou livest in the land.
