And said: Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Amen I say to you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall not enter into it.
Who being struck sad at that saying, went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
And looking round about on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their hearts, he saith to the man: Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored unto him.
And Jesus seeing him become sorrowful, said: How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God.
Jesus answered: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
For see your vocation, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble:
Hearken, my dearest brethren: hath not God chosen the poor in this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which God hath promised to them that love him?
Adulterers, know you not that the friendship of this world is the enemy of God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of this world, becometh an enemy of God.
For so an entrance shall be ministered to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
