Hear, O ye heavens, and give ear, O earth, for the Lord hath spoken. I have brought up children, and exalted them: but they have despised me.


Be astonished and wonder waver and stagger: be drunk, and not with wine: stagger, and not with drunkenness.


Therefore thus saith the Lord: Ask among the nations: Who hath heard such horrible things as the virgin of Israel hath done to excess?


O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord.


I beheld the earth, and lo it was void and nothing: and the heavens, and there was no light in them.


Hear, O earth: Behold, I will bring evils upon this people, the fruits of their own thoughts: because they have not heard my words and they have cast away my law.


Let the mountains hear the judgment of the Lord, and the strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord will enter into judgment with his people, and he will plead against Israel.


Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over the whole earth, until the ninth hour.


Hear, O ye heavens, the things I speak: let the earth give ear to the words of my mouth.
