Ecclesiastes 1:1

And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.


Thou hast also set up prophets, to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying: There is a king in Judea. The king will hear of these things. Therefore come now, that we may take counsel together.


They determined against me an unjust word: shall he that sleepeth rise again no more?

Give her of the fruit of her hands: and let her works praise her in the gates.


I Ecclesiastes was king over Israel in Jerusalem,


And I have found a woman more bitter than death, who is the hunter's snare, and her heart is a net, and her hands are bands. He that pleaseth God shall escape from her: but he that is a sinner, shall be caught by her.


THE spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me. He hath sent me to preach to the meek, to heal the contrite of heart, and to preach a release to the captives and deliverance to them that are shut up:


Arise, and go to Ninive the great city: and preach in it the preaching that I bid thee.


And spared not the original world, but preserved Noe, the eighth person, the preacher of justice, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.
