And the king returned and came as far as the Jordan and all Juda came as far as Galgal to meet the king, and to bring him over the Jordan.


But seek not Bethel, and go not into Galgal, neither shall you pass over to Bersabee: for Galgal shall go into captivity, and Bethel shall be unprofitable.


And thou shalt go down before me to Galgal (for I will come down to thee), that thou mayest offer an oblation, and sacrifice, victims of peace. Seven days shalt thou wait, till I come to thee: and I will shew thee what thou art to do.


And Samuel said to all Israel: Behold, I have hearkened to your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you.


And when the Azotians arose early the next day, behold Dagon lay upon his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him again in his place.


And he went every year about to Bethel and to Galgal and to Masphath; and he judged Israel in the aforesaid places.
