Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came and kept crying out,  ‘Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely tormented by a demon.’


Then  a man with leprosy  , came to him and, on his knees,  , begged him, ‘If you are willing, you can make me clean.’


The woman, with fear and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down  before him, and told him the whole truth.


He got up and departed from  there to the region of Tyre.  , He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it, but he could not escape notice.


The woman was a Gentile,  , a Syrophoenician by birth, and she was asking him to cast the demon  out of her daughter.


He fell face down  at his feet, thanking him. And he was a Samaritan.
