Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge, filled it with sour wine, put it on a stick, and offered him a drink.


They tried to give him wine  mixed with myrrh,  but he did not take it.


When some of those standing there heard this, they said, ‘See, he’s calling for Elijah.’


Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed his last.


The soldiers also mocked him. They came offering him sour wine
