a time to search and a time to count as lost; a time to keep and a time to throw away;


Anyone who finds his life will lose it,   and anyone who loses his life because of me will find it.


Whoever tries to make his life secure   , will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.


The one who loves his life will lose it,   and the one who hates   his life   in this world will keep it for eternal life.


Women received their dead, raised to life again. Other people were tortured, not accepting release, so that they might gain a better resurrection.


They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; for they did not love their lives to the point of death.


Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil   is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will experience affliction for ten days.   Be faithful to the point of death,   and I will give you the crown   of life.
