They said, ‘If you are the Messiah, tell us.’ But he said to them, ‘If I do tell you, you will not believe.

Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

If You are the Christ (the Messiah), tell us. But He said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe (trust in, cleave to, and rely on what I say),

If thou art the Christ, tell us. But he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

They said, “If you are the Christ, tell us!” He answered, “If I tell you, you won’t believe.

And he said to them: "If I tell you, you will not believe me.

And he saith to them: If I shall tell you, you will not believe me.

Jeremiah replied to Zedekiah, ‘If I tell you, you will kill me, won’t you? Besides, if I give you advice, you won’t listen to me anyway.’

‘But he told him, “If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.” ’

And if I ask you, you will not answer.

The high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching.

Why do you question me? Question those who heard what I told them. Look, they know what I said.’
