Four times they sent me the same proposal, and I gave them the same reply.


Jesus did not say a word to her. His disciples  approached him and urged him, ‘Send her away because she’s crying out after us.’


I tell you, even though he won’t get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his friend’s shameless boldness,   he will get up and give him as much as he needs.


And a widow   in that town kept coming to him, saying, “Give me justice against my adversary.”


Then those in front told him to keep quiet,  but he kept crying out all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me! ’


Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.


Because she nagged him day after day and pleaded with him until she wore him out,
