From ancient times no one has heard, no one has listened to, no eye has seen any God except you who acts on behalf of the one who waits for him.


‘Be ready for service   and have your lamps lit.


Blessed will be those servants the master finds alert   when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will get ready,   have them recline at the table, then come and serve them.


Let us be glad, rejoice, and give him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has prepared herself.


See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
