He and all his troops set out  to bring the ark of God from Baale-judah.  The ark bears the Name, the name of the Lord of Armies who is enthroned between the cherubim.


David  and all Israel went to Baalah  (that is, Kiriath-jearim that belongs to Judah) to take from there the ark of God, which bears the name of the Lord who is enthroned between the cherubim.


Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah #– #two cities, with their settlements.


The south side began at the edge of Kiriath-jearim, and the border extended westwards; it went to the spring at the Waters of Nephtoah.


So the Israelites set out and reached the Gibeonite cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, Chephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath-jearim.


They went up and camped at Kiriath-jearim  in Judah. This is why the place is still called the Camp of Dan  today; it is west of Kiriath-jearim.


They sent messengers to the residents of Kiriath-jearim,  saying, ‘The Philistines have returned the ark of the Lord. Come down and get it.’
